Packaging & Corrosion Protection
Packaging is planned around the part’s condition, finish, storage period and delivery route to help protect it until use.
We coordinate a packing plan with manufacturing and logistics partners using the material, geometry, finish, handling points, storage conditions and transport route as inputs.

Protection to suit the part
Depending on the product and agreed requirements, the plan may combine:
- Cleaning and drying before preservation and closure
- Compatible protective oils or water-based corrosion inhibitors
- VCI film, bags or paper for suitable enclosed metal-part applications
- Vacuum or sealed-barrier packaging, with desiccant where appropriate
- Individual bags or customer-specific pack configurations, with sleeves, separators, custom-cut foam, crates, wooden boxes or reinforced cases as appropriate

Pack design and identification
Pack-out instructions are set around customer needs and the selected route.
- Part orientation, separation, protection, pack quantity and identification
- Customer labels, shipping marks, package dimensions, weight and handling details
- Export packing and marking requirements checked for the destination and route
- Packing photos or package identification included in the shipment record when requested

Plan the protection period
Preservation and packaging materials are selected for compatibility with the metal, coating, cleanliness requirements and expected storage and transit environment.
- Part material, finish, cleanliness, dimensions, weight and handling surfaces
- Storage duration and expected temperature or humidity exposure
- Transport mode, route, transfers and destination requirements
