Overview

We supply stamped metal parts such as brackets, clips, washers, spacers and deep-drawn covers. Our network offers standard and precision stamping plus deep drawing for sheet or strip components whose geometry can be cut and formed in a press. We coordinate the route around the drawing, material, production plan and required secondary operations. Machining, surface finishing and inspection can be included when specified for the selected partner route. When an assembly combines stamped parts with fasteners or machined components, AMES can coordinate the separate processes under one manufacturing plan. Material, tooling and partner scope are matched to the project requirements.

Supply options

Stamping routes

Standard and precision stamping for formed metal components.

Deep drawing

Deep drawing for suitable sheet-metal designs.

Typical parts

Typical fit includes brackets, clips, washers, spacers and covers.

Secondary work

Coordinate machining, surface finishing and inspection as specified.

Stamping methods

Choose a stamping route to suit the geometry, material and expected production volume.

Blanking and piercing

Press tools cut a flat outline or openings from sheet or strip.

Bending and forming

Tooling changes the sheet profile to create bends, hems and formed features.

Progressive-die stamping

A strip advances through successive stations that perform multiple press operations.

Deep drawing

A punch draws a sheet blank into a cup-like or enclosed form.

Materials

Sheet form, grade and temper affect how a material can be cut, bent or drawn.

Steel

Commonly used for brackets, clips and formed sections when strength and sheet formability suit the design.

Stainless steel

Corrosion resistance can help in exposed service; grade and forming behavior depend on the environment.

Aluminum

Lower density can help reduce mass in covers, enclosures and formed components.

AMES-FAST-01 lists steel, stainless steel and aluminum at supplier level. Material options are selected for the stamping route and part requirements.
